I know there have been a lot of questions about the status of the team store orders, registration and so on so I thought I would try and clarify some of the details on that below.  Please let me know if you have any questions on this or anything else that may have come to mind

TEAM STORE ORDER

Below is a message from Coach Cohen that he wanted me to send out to you all:

Team,
I have no idea what is going on with the player packs – we just received the “missing box“ and there were only 3 player packs in there.  Our vendor knows my frustration (to put it lightly) – this has literally never happened before and we have used BSN sports for years. He is on the case and he will make it right. 


He did send me girdles – at no cost. Your player will get one tomorrow as I assume you are waiting on what you ordered from BSN. They can be picked up at weights tomorrow ( 7/27).  The freshmen staff will get u pants if needed. We will get through the scrimmage and full pads practices and get this figured out.

I will echo what he said about this never happened before.  For the 5 years that I have been a part of the program I have never seen anything like this.  As he said, we will get through it before the official fall practices start.

REGISTRATION

I have heard there have been a number of players who have had their DCSD Athletic fees paid for football but have yet to actually register for the sport.  Paying that $200 fee doesn’t constitute registering for the sport.  The 2 steps that are required are below:

If anyone has any questions or troubles with this please let me know.  Please get your son registered by the August 6th deadline so that he is ready to go for the first practice on the 9th.

KICK OFF BREAKFAST

We still need quite a bit of help with the Kick off Breakfast.  We anticipate around 350 people at that event and we are going to need all of the slots in the sign up link below filled up.  As we say, it takes an army to help this program and this is a great opportunity to plug in and help.

I went to practice tonight, and it looks like this team is shaping up to be a good one again this fall.  I am excited to have a full season and see what we can do.  See you all soon.
