Mustang Football Family:
Unfortunately the game didn’t turn out in the win column, but we definitely will be battle tested come the playoffs. This week, we head to the Western Slope to play Montrose, who currently sits at #1 in 4A. It always is a game that each program circles, and we look forward to a solid week of preparation to give them our best shot.
Thank you to all who made the Senior Day recognition ceremony memorable – we have a lot of seniors that we are very proud of and it was a great ceremony, and great pictures as well.
Update on the playoffs: We currently sit at #8 in the RPI. This year, the playoffs expanded from 16 to 24- so we will be in regardless of Friday’s outcome. The top 8 seeds get a bye, 9-16 get a home game. Here’s my best guess- if we win Friday, we will get a bye. If we lose Friday, we will be hosting a playoff game as somewhere around the 10 seed. So…don’t make plans, we will be in state for the 8th year in a row.
