Game Recap: 100 wins!! Congrats to Coach Jaron Cohen for earning his 100th win as a head coach this past week against Heritage. That is the culmination of a lot of time coaching players, watching film, building game plans, leading young men and winning. All three levels showed the fruits of that effort with wins in each game. Well done for Coach!! Thanks for all of the time that you have devoted to this program.

- After the Air Academy Game Coach Cohen received a great message from the head of officials about how well our team acted on the field. Please see the info below:
Coaches I want to commend you on the conduct of your football programs. The coaches coached; the players played, and the carry-over was the fans cheered for their team. After the game, the crew commented on this being a fun game and this is how it should be.
There was no trash talking, no intimidation, no whining or complaining. Occasionally a player or coach would respectfully ask a question and offer thanks for the explanation. Football offers the opportunity for foundational life lessons. In Roxbury Park in Johnstown, PA I learned discipline, teamwork, and the benefits of hard work. Today we call it collaboration and persistence. Joe Namath said, “Life is a team sport”, that is so true.
Now there is always a winner on the scoreboard but coaches you have created a locker room full of women and men that are winners. You are preparing the young men and women for success throughout their lives. Please keep it up.
Like many of our colleagues, our crew has had some rough games lately. Less than 24 hours after the conclusion of your game several members of the crew that officiated your game had a fan yell “you oughta be shot or you’re gonna be shot.” It is still very unsettling. Thank goodness we have the Thursday night game to fall back on when we ask ourselves why are we doing this. Again, thank you for doing it the right way, please keep up the good work.
Have a terrific remainder of your 2021 season and beyond.
Thanks for all of your support of this program, see you all Thursday!!
